About Jo Anna Guerra: I'm 27, a native South Texan, a Tejana, a lipstick Lesbian, and still a carnivore. I recently graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts where I had the opportunity to research and write my thesis on an amazingly powerful chicana/Native-American/Lesbian writer, Gloria Anzaldúa. It is now my goal in life to become at least a quarter of the Woman she is. Back in the real world, however, I'm hoping to get into Grad/Law School next fall with the intention of pursuing a joint degree in Latin American Studies and Immigration Law. I generally tend to write on demand -- an effect brought about, no doubt, by the torturous eight years it took me to get that damn degree. I am now, at the coaxing of my best friend, attempting to write for my own pleasure. An absurd concept, I know. But I'm trying. Thanks for the podium, SV. |
