Alex woke to the sound of her phone ringing, she rolled over and got out of the bed and almost ran into the
wall of the unfamiliar room. Stumbling around in the dark she found her pants and pulled her phone from the pocket.
“Moss here.” She sounded groggy from sleep.
“It’s Jameson. Alex I need you to do a job for me.” Alex’s boss spoke confidently.
“What is it?” Alex asked stifling a yawn; she had only been asleep for an hour and a half.
“I need you to come down to the station and look over a few files for me. You busy?” Jameson asked and then chuckled
to himself.
“Do I sound busy? How long do I have?” Alex heaved a loud sigh and sat down on the edge of the bed gently.
“I can give you an hour.” Jameson said casually.
“So it really isn’t urgent is it? It couldn’t have waited till morning?” Alex asked scowling; she was startled
by the gentle hand that touched her back.
“No it isn’t that urgent but I would like you to come check it out before these people are interviewed.” Jameson
said and Alex knew him well enough to know he was frowning at her on the other end of the phone.
“Alright. I will see you in an hour.” Alex hung up the phone with out another word.
She sat on the bed quietly enjoying the hand that was rubbing her back in slow circular motions and then sighed
again.
“You got to go in to the office then?” Lily’s soft equally as sleepy voice asked.
“Yes. Damn Jim. He needs me to look over some files. It couldn’t wait apparently.” Alex said laying back down and
turning in Lily’s arms.
“That sucks for you. We’ve only been asleep an hour and a half.” Lily kissed Alex’s throat as she spoke.
“Don’t remind me.” Alex said in a rather whiney voice.
“I will get up and make you some coffee while you shower.” Lily said moving and turning the bedside lamp on.
“No don’t. Just stay in bed Hun you don’t need to… what is that?” Alex was pointing to a circular bruise on top
of Lily’s shoulder.
“What?” Lily looked at her shoulder and then got up and walked into the bathroom, Alex followed.
“Oh… You bit me, don’t you remember?” Lily said finally after looking at the bruise.
“Oh crap. I'm so sorry I don’t even remember doing that.” Alex said blushing and looking worried.
“It doesn’t hurt or anything. I didn’t really remember till now either.” Lily said turning and hugging Alex. Her
voice had dropped an octave or two.
“I used to do that to my first girlfriend she always complained at me. I didn’t realise I hadn’t grown out of the
habit.” Alex said frowning and brushing gentle finger tips over the purple skin.
“It’s no big deal to me. I kinda like it. Go shower I will make you some coffee.” Lily said giving Alex a gentle
shove towards the shower.
“Just go back to bed you had as much sleep as I did.” Alex said as she reached over and turned the shower on.
“Yeah but I'm up now, I will go back to bed for a little while when you leave.” Lily said staring at Alex’s shapely
butt.
“I love that you love my butt but seriously, go make me coffee if that is what you are doing.” Alex said grinning
at Lily.
“Alright, alright.” Lily muttered as she walked out of the shower.
Alex stepped into the steaming water and sighed contentedly as the gentle flow of water ran over her skin. She
showered quickly using some of Lily’s shampoo and then stepped out of the shower and dried herself off before walking
back into the bedroom. Lily was sitting on the bed with a robe about her holding two hot cups of coffee.
Alex smiled at her girlfriend and walked over to her and kissed her softly on the mouth before she began getting
dressed.
“Sucks you have to leave.” Lily said mildly as she watched Alex dressing.
“You’re telling me.” Alex chuckled at the look on Lily’s face.
“At least we finally got to make love. I mean every other time we were getting a little hot n heavy your damn boss
would call.” Lily was scowling now and Alex stifled a giggle.
“He does have spectacularly poor timing.” Alex agreed as she finished dressing and sat down beside Lily on the
bed.
“How long do you think you will be?” Lily asked handing one of the steaming cups to Alex.
“I have no idea. Why?” Alex asked after sipping the coffee.
“Just wondering whether you would come back here or go back to your place if this doesn’t take long.” Lily said
smiling warmly.
“I am sure it will take me until lunch time if I know the boss. But if it doesn’t and you want, I can come back
here.” Alex said smiling in return.
“Of course I want.” Lily said sitting her cup on the bedside table and walking over to her dresser.
“Alright. Well if this doesn’t take long I will come back here, otherwise I will go home and catch some sleep and
call you when I wake up.” Alex said stifling another yawn.
“Alright.” Lily said as she moved back over to the bed and held out a key to Alex.
“What's this?” Alex asked taking the key and looking seriously at Lily.
“A key. It unlocks the front door.” Lily smiled at the surprised look on Alex’s face.
“Are you sure? We have only been together a few weeks.” Alex said looking from Lily to the key.
“Sure I'm sure. This feels right and I trust you so why not?” Lily was grinning a little.
“Thanks Hun. I will give you my spare tonight when we have dinner at my place?” Alex was smiling now.
“Sounds good, text me with a time and I will see you then if I don’t see you before then.” Lily said now beaming.
“Will do. I best be off though. Taking your cup with me too.” Alex said indicating her half drank coffee.
“Alright, bye love.” Lily said planting a kiss on Alex’s lips.
“Bye.” Alex said as she left the bedroom.
Alex crossed the living room and headed out the front door locking it behind her and went down stairs to her car.
Climbing in the drivers side Alex took her keys from her pocket and put Lily’s house key on the ring before starting
a the car. It wasn’t 15 minutes later that she was turning her car off in the designated car park outside the bureau.
She walked upstairs to her office and on entering the room she heaved a sigh seeing a small pile of thick folders
on her desk. She walked over sat down and began looking at the folders. It was almost two hours later when her
boss walked in and sat down on the opposite side of the desk.
“How you going with it?” Jim Jameson asked curiously.
“Fine I think. I don’t exactly know what I'm looking for.” Alex said not looking up from her folder.
“They are all suspects to a murder the local police have been working on. It turned serial the night before last
when someone found a teenage boy stripped naked and cut in half. The boy was strung upside down in an alley way
and left to be found. Autopsies show some bruising and swelling around the rectum but no traces of semen.” Jameson
filled Alex in briefly.
“That’s interesting. Cut in half how? Vertically or horizontally?” Alex asked still reading through a file.
“Vertical. The police have no real leads so we were called in. These are all possible suspects the police drudged
up. Wanted you to have a look at some character files before we brought them in though.” Jameson said watching
Alex.
“Interesting. Give me another two hours and I might have something to tell.” Alex finally looked up from the file
and flashed Jim a brief smile before looking back down.
“Alright, kid.” Jameson got up from the desk and went about his own business leaving Alex to hers.
It was two hours later when Alex put the last file down. She sat for a while before getting up and leaving her
office. She bumped into Agent Hall and they exchanged pleasantries before Alex went and found Jameson in his office.
“Boss you got a case file for me? I would like to read over some of the other officer’s notes.” Alex said glancing
from the photo of Jameson and his wife to the man.
“Sure take the one that’s on my desk should have everything you need.” Jameson said not looking up from his work.
Alex took the file and went back to her office and began reading. She looked through the notes the officers had
taken down and a rather well detailed description of the scene. With a growing frown Alex continued on with the
file and sighed when she was done. She put down some notes before she returned the file to Jameson.
“What did you come up with?” Jameson asked curiously looking up as she walked in.
“Not much. I don’t think the people you want to bring are the people you should be looking at though. God for bid
it happens again, but boss if it does I want to be called in to the scene before they touch too much stuff.” Alex
said as she dropped the file on the table.
“You got it, Kid. You didn’t come up with nothing?” Jameson asked casually.
“Well, it seems almost like an act of homophobia. As much as I hate to admit that.” Alex said a small scowl appearing
on her face.
“Seems that way doesn’t it. Sorry kid. Go home and get some rest I will see you tomorrow. Say hello to Lil’ for
me.” Jameson said smiling warmly at Alex.
“Will do boss.” Alex returned the smile and then left the bureau.
She headed home and kicked off her shoes at the front door before stepping into the house. She looked around and
smiled at the tidy room. She decided to have a cup of tea before going to bed again. She walked over to the fridge
while her kettle boiled and glanced at a piece of paper stuck to the door. The piece of paper had a name and phone
number on it but Alex was yet to dial the number.
Shaking her head at herself she opened the fridge and got out some left over pasta and put it in the microwave
heating it up while she made her tea. When it was all ready to be eaten she moved around to the other side of the
kitchen counter and sat down on one of the barstools there.
She began eating the warm pasta while she stared at the piece of paper on her fridge door. The number was her aunts
that she only recently learned about. Lily had talked her into finding the number but couldn’t get her to ring
it. She explained that she needed time to absorb everything. That was a lie and they both knew it but Lily was
kind enough not to push her.
Frowning as she ate Alex continued to stare. She didn’t have the gall, what would she say to the woman? She had
no idea where to even begin with that kind of conversation. Alex had already ignored three phone calls from her
father that was in a different states prison. The man had killed Alex’s adoptive parents when she was only twelve.
Alex finished her food and put the dishes in the sink before going into her bedroom. She took off her shirt and
pants and slid into her large bed. She set her alarm for 11:30 AM before slowly drifting off to sleep.
Alex was startled awake 5 and a half hours later when her alarm began buzzing. She rolled over and turned the alarm
off and stretched out beneath the blankets before getting up and going to the bathroom. After relieving herself
Alex picked up her jeans and pulled them on and then one of her old tee shirts before pulling her phone out of
her pocket.
She dialled Lily’s number and was disappointed when it rang out and she got her voice mail. With a slight shrug
she walked out to the kitchen and ran some water in her sink to clean the dishes from earlier. She moved to the
fridge to get some juice when the piece of paper again caught her eye. She snatched it from the fridge and sat
it on the counter before getting her juice.
After pouring her juice she sat down at the kitchen counter and stared at the piece of paper for a long few minutes
before pulling her phone out and dialling the number that was on it. She waited as it rang and found herself terrified
when the phone was answered.
“Hello?” The female voice on the other asked. Alex hesitated not sure what to say finally she spoke.
“Uh, Hello, is this Abigail Wallace?” She asked tentatively.
“That’s me. Who is this?” Came the reply.
“You may not know me. My name is Alex Moss.” Alex said feeling less scared.
“Alex? Is it really you? My you must have grown.” The woman sounded pleasantly surprised.
“It’s really me. I have been working up the courage to call you.” Alex admitted with a nervous chuckle.
“I am sure. What do you want dearling?” The woman’s voice was gentle and warm now and it made Alex feel a lot better.
“Well, I want to know about… Isobel. And Mark.” Alex didn’t know where to start.
“Do you need to know right now? I would dearly love to meet you. Mark told me you live in New York. If you don’t
mind, I could come out and visit with you. Next week?” The woman spoke quickly and excitedly.
Alex’s nervousness rose a few levels but she kept calm. Was she really ready to meet her unknown aunt? Did she
really want to learn about the family that gave her up? Yes, she did and she was finally getting her chance.
“Of course. If you want you can stay here with me I have big enough house.” Alex offered.
“That would nice if you don’t mind. And would it be ok if my partner came as well?” Abigail asked a little hesitantly.
“Of course it’s ok.” Alex said pleasantly.
“Alright well I will book flights immediately and if it’s ok I will call you back and tell you when we will be
arriving?” Abigail said excitedly.
“That’s fine with me. Thank you for wanting to do this.” Alex smiled to herself.
“It’s no problem at all sweetheart. I have been hoping this day would come.” Abigail said and Alex knew she was
almost crying.
“Well. I should let you go before you start crying. Call me back when you get everything sorted out?” Alex laughed
softly into the mouth piece.
“Of course. Talk to you later sweetheart.” Abigail said in a husky voice.
Alex said bye and hung up the phone. She sat for a long while smiling to herself and then took a drink of her juice.
She sent Lily a text telling her to be there by 6 and then set about cleaning her house before she began cooking
them some dinner. It was 5:45 when there was a knock at the door.
Alex ran over and opened it and hugged Lily a little roughly before letting her in. She stood and grinned at Lily
and was about to let the frowning woman in on her happiness when the phone rang. She held up a hand and answered
it.
“That’s fine with me. Will you need me to come and pick you up?” Alex asked into the mouth piece.
“Ok then.” Alex said and then gave Abigail her address before she hung up the phone.
“Who was that?” Lily asked a little suspiciously.
“Guess…” Alex said grinning.
“You didn’t! Oh I’m so proud of you. She is coming here?” Lily spoke excitedly and hugged Alex again.
“Yeah. She arrives on Monday. I’m going to have to ask off.” Alex said still grinning.
“That’s great Hunny.” Lily said and then kissed Alex hard on the mouth.
“Dinners ready.” Alex said when Lily broke the kiss.
“Good I’m starved. What was up with Jimmy this morning?” Lily asked as they moved over to the table Alex had set.
“A local serial killing actually. Boys cut in half and what not.” Alex said forgetting who she was talking.
“That was too much baby.” Lily said chuckling as she sat down.
“Sorry.” Alex said smiling apologetically.
“Its alright.” Lily smiled.
They ate the dinner Alex had cooked, it was a pasta dish and Lily made many jokes about how much Alex liked pasta.
They both giggled and talked as they ate and when they was done they moved into the lounge and put the TV on as
they continued talking.
Lily eventually moved closer to Alex and they began kissing and touching lightly. Lily was just pushing Alex back
to lie on top of her as Alex’s phone rang. They both tried to ignore it when the machine picked it up and it was
Jameson.
“Alex, you there? We got another one and you said you wanted to see it.” Came Jim’s voice through the speakers.
“Shit!” Alex cursed out loud and she reached over and grabbed her phone.
“Ok Jim, Where do I have to be?” Alex asked as Lily continued kissing the sensitive skin of Alex’s neck.
“Pierce Avenue. You will see the squad cars.” Jameson replied.
“Alright give me 15.” Alex said and hung up the phone.
She moaned softly when Lily started sucking on the spot on her neck that Lily found to be very sensitive just the
night before. She wiggled out from under Lily and fell off the couch onto the floor with a soft thud.
“Thanks for not doing that while the boss was on the phone I appreciate that.” Alex said referring to Lily sucking
on her neck.
“Your welcome.” Lily said smiling and sitting up on the couch.
“Ok well, you have like…. Three options I guess. 1, you can stay here and wait till I get back, 2 you could go
back to your place or 3 you can come with me. Sit in the car while I poke around and then go to HQ with me.” Alex
said as she got up off the floor and stood in front of Lily.
“Hmm…” Lily made the sound as she reached over and ran her hands up Alex’s jean clad legs.
Alex stood there and waited for her girlfriend to make up her mind and rolled her eyes when Lily’s hands slid round
to cup her butt. She grinned down at Lily who was looking up at her with such fierce desire in her eyes Alex was
tempted to forget about going to the crime scene.
“Ok I will come with you.” Lily said finally and sighed heavily.
“Maybe this wont take long and we can come back here. Then you can help me forget about the vile atrocities I will
have to see the after math of.” Alex said as she moved over to the fire place and took something off the mantle
above it.
“You say that as if seeing that stuff bothers you in the first place.” Lily was chuckling softly at Alex’s excuse.
“It doesn’t but it sounded like a good excuse to me.” Alex said walking back over to Lily and handing her a key.
“Thanks. Now when you’re sleeping in the middle of the night I’m creep in here and scare the pants off of you.”
Lily said making a nasty little face.
“Yeah you’re forgetting I sleep with a gun.” Alex said giggling.
“Oh yeah your right. Maybe not then.” Lily said as they left the house.
It took Alex about 8 minutes to drive to the scene and she parked the car away from the entrance to the alley and
pecked Lily on the lips before she got out of the car. She rounded the corner into the alley and was immediately
swamped with police officers. She showed them her ID and they let her past and she walked over to where she could
see Jameson with Casey.
“So nice of you to show up Moss.” Casey joked as she grinned at her.
“Oh hush Casey I got here as fast as I could.” Alex said returning the grin.
“Ok Alex, take a look around then.” Jameson said and indicated the two halves of a young man hanging by his ankles
at the end of the alley way.
Alex grimaced at the sight but she moved into the taped off zone and began looking around. She looked at the puddle
on the ground and knelt down to examine it closely. She realised there was no blood splatter, she moved on and
looked closely at the body. It was a mess.
The innards had been cut in half as the body had been and a lot of it hung down towards the ground. The contents
of both the intestine and stomach dripped from both halves of the body to the ground and a rancid odour emanated
from the contents. Alex looked at as much of the boys insides as she could without touching anything and noticed
the boys entire brain was missing.
“What happened to the other victim’s brains boss?” Alex called as she continued looking around the scene.
“They were all there.” Jameson called back.
Frowning Alex continued to look around as the forensics team showed up. She looked at the boys ankles and saw severe
bruising to a good portion of his lower legs. She called over the head of the forensics team as she stared at the
bruised legs.
“Hey Mac. Can you tell me about the blood from the last two scenes? Was it the victim’s blood?” Alex asked after
greeting the Forensic scientist.
“Sure, it was the victim’s blood each time. Seemed watery though like they had been injected with syringes full
of water.” Mac said wrinkling his nose in disgust as he looked at the two halves of the body.
“Interesting. Thanks Mac I will leave this too you.” Alex said patting the man on the shoulder before she moved
back over to Jameson.
“What did you discover Alex?” Jameson said when Alex walked over to him.
“Well, a few things I want looked into. Someone needs to get in touch with the coroner that did the autopsy on
the other two victims I want to know if any other organs were missing. The boy’s brain was gone.” Alex said matter
of factualy.
“How can you be so calm after seeing that mess?” Agent Casey asked a little angrily.
“It’s just how I am Casey.” Alex said throwing him a cold look daring him to judge her. “Its creepy that’s all.
You’re never affected.” Casey calmed down when he saw the look on her face.
None of Alex’s team knew what happened to her adoptive parents they all just knew they had died. She never thought
about telling them that she had stood and stared at them both for almost an hour. Looking at all the blood and
gore that surrounded them both on the floor.
“Anyway. I want to know if any other organs were missing. I want to know if there were any marks on there arms
or legs where they may have been injected with water. I can give you more once I know all of this but I can’t come
up with any motives for this kind of atrocities right now. I need more to go with.” Alex had turned back to Jim,
ignoring Casey.
“You got it. Casey go and get on that please.” Jim said to Casey who gladly turned at left them there in the alley.
Alex didn’t say anything she just stood there staring at the end of the alley way until Jim spoke again.
“You mind giving me a lift back to HQ?” He asked after a moment.
“Sure come on.” Alex said leading the way to the car.
“Hey Jimmy.” Lily said greeting Jameson as he got into the back seat.
“Well its Lily. I didn’t know you had come with Alex.” Jameson said smiling at the blonde in front of him.
“Yeah, I was at Alex’s when you rang.” Lily said smiling back at him.
“Oh! That’s why she didn’t answer strait away. Well Jees Alex you did good getting here that quick.” Jim said chuckling
at the scowl that appeared on Alex’s face.
“It hadn’t got that far, pops.” Alex said in a rather irate tone which made Lily and Jameson both laugh.
Alex rolled her eyes and ignored them both as she drove them all to HQ. Once there they all climbed out of the
car and headed up to Alex’s office. Lily sat with them as they chatted about the case though Alex knew she didn’t
really want to be there listening to all the details she was surprised that Lily sat with them anyways.
“Anyways I will leave you two to… what ever it is you do.” Jameson said getting up from his seat at Alex’s desk.
“Oh Jimmy? Alex needs Monday off unless it’s important.” Lily said, Alex grinned at Lily for remembering for her.
“Sure thing. Unless it’s important I won’t call.” Jim said smiling from Lily to Alex before he left the room.
“That guy likes you.” Alex said when Jameson was gone.
“Yeah he likes you too. He is so easy on you. Wish my boss was that kind to me.” Lily said shaking her head a little.
“You are your boss Hunny.” Alex said chuckling.
“Oh yeah. Sheesh I should give myself a break.” Lily grinned.
Lily and Alex were chatting about Lily’s flower shop when Agent Hall knocked and walked in. She sat some files
on Alex’s desk as she smiled at both women.
“Nice to see you again Lily.” Hall said smiling at the blonde.
“You too Stephanie. How has things been?” Lily asked pleasantly as Hall sat down.
“Good, busy. I need a holiday.” Hall said dropping her head and rubbing the back of her neck.
Lily stood up and moved behind Agent Hall and started massaging the muscles at her shoulders and neck.
“Oh Lily really you don’t have to do that.” Hall protested as she leaned back into Lily’s hands.
“Oh you don’t want to be saying that Hall, she gives amazing massages.” Alex said chuckling at her co-worker.
“Well if you insist.” Hall said causing Lily and Alex to laugh softly.
The three sat in there talking about the less gory details of the cases as Alex looked through the coroner’s reports
that Agent Hall had given her. She frowned at a few things and pointed them out to Hall and was answered with a
shrug more often than not.
“You’re no help at all Hall.” Alex said rolling her eyes.
“I know. I can’t think. Your ladies hands are amazing.” Lily laughed at this statement from Hall.
“Don’t go getting any ideas. That one is mine.” Alex said smiling at Lily.
“It’s true. She put her mark on me. You wouldn’t know it but Alex is a biter.” Lily said teasing Alex who looked
instantly sorry.
“TMI Lily. Besides I like those of the male persuasion. Not that I ever have time for dating.” Hall said when she
stopped giggling.
“Date an agent?” Lily suggested, Alex had gone back to looking over the files.
“Yeah no thanks. All the agents I know drive me crazy at work there’s no way I would take one home.” Hall said
rolling her eyes at the mere thought.
All three of them chuckled at this and lapsed into another conversation. Lily stopped massaging Hall’s shoulders
and sat back down in her seat as they began chatting about previous lovers. Alex was only half listening when Fips
walked into the room.
Fips stopped inside the room and looked from Alex to Lily and scowled. Alex slowly looked up from her folder and
look Fips who was standing there having an angry staring contest with Lily. She cleared her throat getting all
three people to look at her.
“You got something for me Fips?” Alex asked gesturing the files he was holding.
He grunted and dropped the files on the table before turning and leaving the room, slamming the door on his way
out. Lily was about to get up when Alex leaned over the table and grabbed her wrist and shook her head at her.
Lily sighed and sat back down pouting a little.
“He been giving you trouble Alex?” Hall asked curiously after a moment.
“He makes the odd comment now and then, nothing that really bothers me.” Alex shrugged though she was staring at
Lily.
“Have you told the boss?” Hall asked glancing at Lily.
“No. Why would she?” Lily snapped.
Alex sighed and looked imploringly at Hall who shrugged and glanced at Lily again.
“You know it’s her eyes right?” Hall said to Lily after a moment.
“Yes.” Lily said glancing over at Alex who was watching them.
“What about my eyes?” Alex asked not sure what they meant.
“Your eyes are ridiculous Alex.” Hall said laughing softly.
“Why?” Alex asked innocently.
“Don’t act like you don’t realise how you look at people. With those… melty eyes.” Lily scoffed at Alex’s air of
innocence.
“What do you mean melty eyes?” Alex asked chuckling at the statement.
“It’s not a joke. You give me… tingles sometimes. Those eyes are lethal.” Hall said backing Lily up.
Alex scowled and looked back down at her files; she ignored Hall and Lily discussing her eyes and continued looking
through the coroners notes. By the time she was done reading the files she had written down 3 words. Brain, Heart,
Liver.
Frowning still she began looking through the info from the blood works. She noted that all three victims seemed
to have had water in there blood but none could tell how it got there as the coroners reports didn’t state that
any of the victims had marks indicating being injected.
Alex got up and walked out of the office leaving Lily and Agent Hall in there chatting and moved over to where
Jameson was standing with Casey and Fletcher. She stood until Jameson noticed her and asked her what was up.
“I have theories. This is a rough case but if you want to hear them then I don’t mind telling you.” Alex said when
the three was looking at her.
“Alright. Shoot.” Said Jameson.
“Ok, my theories are that the bodies were moved. There’s not enough blood splatter to indicate that the bodies
were cut in half there. I also thing that the blood has been frozen though I'm not sure why, or it’s been added
to something.” Alex leaned against the wall she was standing by as she spoke.
“Ok, well what makes you think the bodies were moved, I mean other than the blood?” Fletcher asked curiously.
“The bruising on the legs. The ropes around there ankles where we find them aren’t enough to cause bruising like
that even if they have been struggling. It’s too far up there legs.” Alex explained.
“She has a point. What about the blood though, why do you think it’s been frozen?” Jameson asked nodding in agreement
to Alex’s previous arguments.
“Well, the forensic guys think it’s been injected at a way to kill the victims. But there are no marks on the bodies
that could indicate being stuck with a needle. But if the blood has been frozen or something then that would explain
it. I’m not sure though, the blood puzzles me.” Alex frowned as she said this.
“Yeah it is a bit strange. Ok well that will give the rest of the team something to work with. You can head off
now if you want Alex.” Jameson said nodding; Casey had written the theories on the white board they were standing
by.
“Alright, see you guys around.” Alex said and left the three men.
She walked back into her office and tidied her desk before turning to Lily and Agent Hall. She smiled at the fact
that they were talking about the case.
“We can go home when you’re ready Granger.” Alex said sitting down at her desk.
Lily nodded to her as she was listening to Hall and Alex again rolled her eyes. She sat and thought about the case
as Lily and Stephanie talked about it. Lily muttered something about pigs to the slaughter that made Alex smile
a little. She looked up at her lover and stared at her admiringly.
Lily looked over as if feeling Alex eyes on her and a warm smile came to her face as she looked into the deep violet
eyes of her girlfriend. They were both brought out of there little trance when Hall cleared her throat.
“Sorry Steph.” Alex blushed lightly and turned back to the table and Lily chuckled softly.
“It’s ok. It’s nice to see two people so hopelessly in love with one another. Refreshing that such a thing still
exists.” Agent Hall said smiling at the two of them.
“You really need to get out more Hall. Come on Granger I want to go home.” Alex said getting up from the desk.
“Alright. I will see you later Stephanie. You should request some time off.” Lily said as she took Alex’s hand
and stood by the office door with her.
“Yeah I just might, not that I know what I would do.” Hall said moving to the door with them.
“Maybe we should all go out one night. The three of us, go to a bar or something.” Alex suggested.
“What a gay bar? I already told you Moss I'm not queer.” Hall made a face that made Lily punch her gently in the
arm.
“A regular bar. I have never been to a gay bar myself.” Alex said chuckling softly as Hall rubbed her arm.
“Alright. When?” Hall asked as they all walked towards the elevator.
“Saturday night is good with me.” Lily suggested.
“Me too. Hall?” Alex asked quirking an eye brow.
“Yeah it’s good with me too.” Hall sounded a little down cast.
“Ok then. See you then Steph.” Lily said as she got onto the lift as the doors opened.
“Bye Hall.” Alex said smiling warmly at her co worker.
Agent Hall waved as the doors closed and Lily and Alex chuckled softly before commenting about how hopeless Agent
Hall was. They both agreed that they liked the woman and began planning there night for Saturday as they drove
back to Alex’s house.
When they got there they walked inside and Alex pulled Lily towards the bedroom when Lily would have gone into
the lounge. They kicked off there shoes and then turned into one another, kissing as hands worked on clothes.
They both fell onto the bed naked and for the second time during there relationship they began exploring one another
with hands and mouths. After a lot of heavy petting Alex pushed Lily onto her back then moved to position herself
over Lily where there clits could come together. Alex began moving slowly as she looked down and watched Lily’s
face. She often found herself drawn to the deep green eyes and loved seeing them so dark with passion.
“Faster Alex, please.” Lily panted softly.
Alex’s smile grew and she began thrusting her hips a little faster as she lowered herself down onto her elbows
and kissed Lily’s neck. She forgot herself then and began moving more abruptly against Lily. It was just as she
was coming that her teeth bit down on Lily’s shoulder and the blonde cried out as she climaxed along with Alex.
Alex tasted something a little coppery in her mouth and leaned back startled and looked at Lily’s shoulder. She
gasped and bit her lip as she quickly moved off Lily and went to the bathroom before coming back with a cloth.
“Alex what is it?” Lily asked, still lying there breathing a little heavily.
“I made you bleed.” Alex was near tears.
“You did?” Lily asked casually as she put her hand to her shoulder and then looked at the blood on her fingers.
Lily leaned forward and Alex moved over and pressed the cloth to Lily’s shoulder as tears started rolling down
her cheeks. She sniffled a little and wouldn’t meet Lily’s eyes.
“Alex….” Lily said her name gently but Alex still wouldn’t meet her eye.
“I’m so sorry Lily. I don’t know why I do that. I don’t know I'm doing it until I have done it.” Alex stifled a
sob.
“Alex, I really don’t care. I like it. And it’s just a little blood.” Lily moved then and wrapped her arms around
the smaller woman.
Alex started crying then feeling completely ashamed of herself. She put her arms around Lily and Lily pulled her
back onto the bed and just held her until she stopped crying. She was still holding the blood stained cloth in
her hand when Lily leaned back and brushed her dark hair out of her face.
“Do you feel better?” Lily asked gently smiling at her little lover.
“No, just less like crying.” Alex said a little weakly.
“Alex honestly. You’re a little surprising at times.” Lily chuckled softly.
“How do you mean?” Alex asked curiously.
“You hunt killers. You can be around the most horrendous crime scenes and you never let it get to you. But you
bite me and it brings you to tears.” Lily explained as she began stroking Alex’s hair in a soothing manner.
“Because I don’t know I'm doing it. And there’s something strange in my blood. What if I have just given you some
kind of disease?” Alex started sobbing all over again.
“It doesn’t matter just stop crying I don’t like seeing you like this. Please stop, please your breaking my heart
Alex. You’re always so strong I can’t handle seeing you so fragile.” Lily sat up and pulled Alex into her lap.
“What if I gave you something?” Alex asked again as she stopped sobbing.
“I doubt you have, and if you have its nothing if it isn’t affecting you in some manner.” Lily said tilting her
head a little and smiling reassuringly at Alex.
“If you start getting sick and hate me one day I hope you remember this day.” Alex’s voice was muffled against
Lily’s chest.
“Ok, I will. Now quit crying and go to sleep with me.” Lily said gently.
Alex nodded against Lily’s chest and lay back with the other woman snuggling into Lily’s side she wiped her face
with the clothe she still held and then dropped it on the floor beside the bed as Lily pulled the sheets up around
them.
The next morning they made love again and Alex bit Lily again, she didn’t draw blood but she still felt wretched.
She suggested them not sleeping together again until Alex got some tests done but Lily got all pouty at that.
They left Alex’s and went there separate ways promising to call one another later. Lily went off to her flower
shop and Alex went into HQ and got to doing some more work on the case they were working on. Hall greeted her as
she walked in and handed her some files Jameson wanted her to look at.
Alex looked through the files but came up blank, she again looked through the character files from the first suspects
but she couldn’t find one she thought would fit. After several hours of scouring through files Alex finally decided
to go over to Lily’s.
She again made sure Agent Hall was ok with tomorrow night before she left HQ and drove the few minutes over to
Lily’s. She knocked on the door but there was no answer so she used her key and went inside. She walked over to
the computer that was in the living room with the intentions of checking her emails when she saw that there was
already a webpage up.
She glanced over the page and saw a few words that made her do a double take. She looked again and read a few lines
and realised that it really was lycanthropy that Lily had searched. She scowled for a moment before she began reading
the contents of the page.
The sound of the door closing behind her made her start and she turned to see Lily looking at her curiously her
head tilted to the side and a somewhat sorry look on her face. Alex stared at the blonde for a long moment before
she spoke.
“Really? You believe in this crap?” Alex asked a little aggressively.
“No. It was just something that crossed my mind. There are other things I was looking up but they all lead back
to that.” Lily said quietly.
“You think I'm a werewolf? That is ridiculous there is no such thing.” Alex spoke a little loudly.
“I don’t think you are a werewolf. Shit Alex don’t jump the gun on me. I was looking up other similar cases as
yours but there are none but each time I searched something to do with it, it always came back to that.” Lily was
getting angry now.
“Are you worried I have given you something?” Alex asked standing up.
“No danmit. I’m not worried at all. I was looking so if you ever freaked out again I would maybe understand a little
better.” Lily moved over to Alex and practically shouted in her face.
“Well hell, what would you tell me. ‘Oh it’s ok Alex you’re probably just a werewolf.’” Alex asked sarcastically.
“Shit.” Lily said throwing her hands in the air and turning away from Alex.
Alex didn’t say anything she just glared at Lily’s back for a long moment before she sighed and sat down putting
her face in her hands as tears ran down her face. She looked up when she felt a hand on her shoulder and Lily stood
there in front of her looking close to tears herself.
“Mark killed my adoptive parents he said because they didn’t love me. What no one realises is that I was a little
snoop when I was a kid. There was a file in the attic that my ‘parents’ hadn’t hid very well. It pretty much said
when I was a baby they did some kind of genetic testing on me. I don’t know what exactly.” Alex said slowly as
she looked up at Lily’s now gentle face.
“Alex! That’s illegal!” Lily knelt down in front of Alex.
“Yeah I know. They were paid a large amount of money to keep quiet about it. I don’t know what they did to me Lily
and its been a worry of mine all my life. My blood is different; it isn’t like anyone else’s.” Alex explains as
another tear rolled down her face.
“Don’t worry about it. Maybe Abigail will have some answers. Come on, go wash your face Hunny and then you can
help me cook us some dinner.” Lily said brushing the tears from Alex’s cheeks.
Alex nodded and Lily kissed her gently on the lips before she walked into the bathroom and washed her face. After
that was done she walked over to Lily who was facing the kitchen counter. She pushed aside Lily’s shirt revealing
her shoulder and leaned over and gently kissed the bites before leaning her forehead against Lily’s back.
“I’m sorry I jumped your case about your web searches.” Alex said quietly.
“Its ok Hunny I can understand it.” Lily turned and wrapped her arms around Alex’s shoulders. “I’m sorry I got
so mad.”
“Its ok, I’d get mad if I was yelling at me too.” Alex smiled up at Lily.
Lily chuckled and kissed Alex gently on the mouth letting Alex deepen it after a moment. They stood in the kitchen
kissing tenderly until Lily’s phone rang. She broke the kiss and picked up the phone.
“It’s my dad, do you mind?” Lily asked as she grimaced.
“No go ahead.” Alex said and she moved to the counter and started cutting the onion Lily had abandoned.
Alex listened to Lily’s side of the conversation as she cut up the onion and garlic that was sitting on the table.
She frowned as Lily began speaking louder and more angrily as the conversation went on. When she was done Alex
turned and watched Lily pacing the lounge room as she spoke. Finally Lily hung the phone and slammed it down on
the coffee table.
“Good god my dad is a pain in my ass some times.” Lily said walking back into the lounge.
“What was that all about?” Alex asked curiously.
“He wants to meet you.” Lily said as she pulled out some more ingredients.
“That’s why you were so mad? Because your dad wants to meet me?” Alex asked raising her eye brows.
“No he was just asking me a bunch of dumb questions that he knows I don’t want to answer.” Lily blushed a little
and Alex chuckled at her.
They finished making dinner as they talked about Lily’s dad and then sat down to eat. They talked a little about
the case but for the most part they talked about Lily’s shop and her dad. They did the dishes together and then
sat and watched some TV before Lily grabbed Alex’s hand.
“Come to bed?” She asked the violet eyed woman.
Alex nodded and they went into Lily’s bedroom. They both got undressed down to there underwear and climbed into
bed. Alex snuggled in next to Lily and watched the rise and fall of the blonde’s chest.
“We should move in together.” Alex said randomly.
“I’m off Sunday.” Lily said after a moment.
“You mean you actually want us to move in together?” Alex propped herself up on her elbow and looked down at Lily.
“Sure. I love you, you love me. We have spent every night together since we got back from Sacramento.” Lily said
looking at Alex.
“True. You will move in with me then? On Sunday your saying?” Alex asked curiously.
“Yep. If you’re serious about it. You seem a little surprised.” Lily grinned at Alex.
“Well I wasn’t exactly expecting that response. But I would love it. I can probably get out of work early and help
you move all your stuff.” Alex said lying down again.
They chatted for a little while before they finally fell asleep. Alex woke up the next morning with Lily brushing
gentle kisses over her back and shoulders. She sighed and rolled over and caught Lily’s mouth with her own.
They got naked and made love gently, Alex again bit Lily and again felt bad about it though she tried to keep it
to herself. She knew she had failed when Lily made a comment while they were eating some breakfast. Alex sighed
and looked at the bruised and cut shoulders.
“I am sorry.” Alex said as they were walking out the door to head off to there respective work places.
“I know. Don’t think on it. I get off work early today so I will call you at lunch time. I will start packing all
my junk.” Lily said as they walked hand in hand out of the apartment building and over to Alex’s car.
“Alright. If I don’t answer I will call you back. Don’t tire yourself out too much we are taking Hall out tonight.”
Alex said smiling at Lily.
“I remember. I will talk to you later Hunny.” Lily kissed Alex on the mouth and they parted ways.
Alex was in a bad mood the rest of the day, she felt terrible about the damage she had caused Lily’s shoulders.
When Lily called at lunch time they decided they would meet at Alex’s before they went out. Alex went and informed
Agent Hall and they both talked for a few minutes before Alex went back to her office.
She hadn’t come up with anything else that day and was beginning to get incredibly frustrated with the case. She
scowled as she read through the coroners reports again. She decided the organs were kept for some form of ritual
but she didn’t know what or who would do such a thing.
Finally she sighed and put the folders down and left HQ and headed for home. She got to her place and showered
and was just getting dressed when Stephanie knocked on the door. She called out that it was open and finished getting
dressed before she went out to the lounge.
“Hey Steph. Lily should be here soon. You want a coffee?” Alex asked moving over to her coffee pot and turning
it on.
“Sure that would be great actually. I thought she would have been here already.” Hall said as she sat down at the
kitchen counter.
“She called me on my way home. She is moving in here and has been packing up all her stuff so she can start moving
it tomorrow.” Alex informed as she brushed her long black hair.
“Moving in? That’s sudden.” Stephanie said raising her brows a little.
“Yeah. It feels right though. We haven’t been apart much except for work any way. So why not right?” Alex shrugged
casually and turned to the coffee pot and started making as her phone buzzed on the counter next to Stephanie.
“You mind checking that is probably Lily.”
Stephanie picked up the phone and read the message before putting it back down on the counter.
“She said she is about 5 minutes away and she wants a coffee before we leave.” Hall informed.
“I bet she does. We were up kinda early today.” Alex said not realising what her comment really said.
Stephanie made a sound and chuckled at Alex when she blushed. They sat down and chatted until Lily was there. After
drinking their coffees the three of them left in Alex’s car and headed in town to the best bar they could think
of.
Once there they moved over to the bar and ordered drinks before they moved over to a booth and sat down to chat.
They was having a grand old time when a guy walked over and asked Alex to dance, she shook her head and kindly
declined.
Several drinks later Lily grabbed Stephanie’s hand and dragged her over to the dance floor and Alex sat and watched
them both dance. She giggled several times as she saw Lily and Hall stumble over each other. They both went back
to the table when the song was over and they were both laughing at there bad dancing.
Alex was about to say something when a thought struck her. She closed her mouth and thought about it for a moment
before she grabbed her phone. She dialled Jameson’s number and waited for him to pick up.
“Jameson, its Alex.” Alex practically had to yell into the mouth piece.
“What is it kid? And where are you?” Jameson asked.
“At a club with Lily and Stephanie. Anyways I think you should look into local abattoirs. Its something Lily said
the other day that got me thinking. There definitely the saw’s to look into.” Alex yelled, she had Lily and Steph’s
attention now.
“Alright, I will look into it and get back to you.” Jameson said and hung up.
Alex put her phone back in her pocket and looked from Steph to Lily. She explained what made her think of it and
then tried to brush it aside, rather successfully as just then a man walked up and asked Stephanie to dance.
Lily and Alex sat together talking quietly to one another as they watched Stephanie make a fool of herself. They
didn’t see what caused it to happen but they both stood up when they saw Stephanie slap the man she had been dancing
with. The guy pushed the small Agent over and Lily and Alex moved quickly to insert themselves between the man
and there friend.
“What the hells going on here?” Lily asked out loud the crowd around them were all looking on at the scene unfolding.
“Stupid bitch hit me that’s what. No one hits me.” The guy said angrily.
“That’s no reason to get rough with a girl.” Lily said tilting her head a little.
“What the hell is it to you anyway? You know this isn’t a gay bar right?” The guy asked nastily and a few people
made jeering sounds around them.
“I didn’t realise it was an S&M bar either.” Alex said after helping Stephanie stand up.
The crowd laughed at that and the man in front of them seemed to become enraged at people thinking he was that
kind of guy. He stepped forward and raised his fist at Alex. Alex stepped back into Stephanie and Lily stepped
in front of her and punched the man hard in the stomach making him double over as the wind left his lungs in a
rush.
“You won’t be touching her.” Lily said matter of fact in the guy’s ear and shoved him hard enough to send him sprawling
to the floor.
Alex took Lily’s hand and dragged her and Stephanie back over to the booth they had been sitting in. They all sat
down and was then served drinks that the maid said was paid for by a group of young men that admired there standing
up to the guy that pushed Steph over.
“If you would rather go, we can Steph.” Alex said looking from her scowling lover to the rather shocked co-worker
beside her.
“No that’s ok. That guy suggested the most lude thing to me.” Steph told them what he had said and they all burst
out laughing.
They drank several more drinks, Alex drinking mostly Soda as she was the designated driver and then they eventually
decided it was time to get a very drunk Stephanie back home. They all went back to Alex’s. Lily and Steph sang
songs loudly during the short drive out to Alex’s.
Once there Alex and Lily helped Steph inside and put her on the couch where she fell asleep almost instantly. Alex
unbuttoned Steph’s jeans and while Lily took the woman’s shoes off. They covered her with a blanket and went to
bed themselves.
“Do you have to set an alarm?” Lily asked snuggling in beside Alex.
“Yeah I have to go in for a few hours tomorrow. The earlier the better then I can come home and help you move in.
Steph has to go in as well.” Alex said after turning her alarm clock on and snuggling down with Lily.
“Poo.” Lily muttered and then fell asleep.
Alex lay awake for a little while thinking about the case and finally fell asleep only to wake up 6 hours later
to the sound of the alarm going off beside her on the bedside table. She turned it off and gently climbed out of
bed, she found two pairs of clean clothes and went into the bathroom and showered.
Once showered and dressed Alex went out to the lounge room and went over to Stephanie. She shook the woman gently
a few times before finally shaking her a little roughly seeing as being gentle wasn’t working. Steph woke up and
grimaced and Alex could tell she had a head ache.
“Hey, go take a shower you can wear some of my clothes. They are in the bathroom I will make you some coffee while
your showering.” Alex said as Stephanie sat up.
“Alright. Thanks Alex.” Hall muttered as she stood up and stumbled to the bathroom.
Alex chuckled softly as she moved over to the coffee pot and made coffee. She was making coffee when her phone
rang; she picked it up and answered it. It was Jameson he had found something.
“The forensics team reran the bloods and found pig blood with the victim’s blood.” Jameson had informed.
“That’s great now we have a lead. You need to check on the abattoirs that deal with pigs. A lot of the Cattle and
sheep ones don’t because pigs are so dirty.” Alex said as she stirred sugar into the two hot cups of coffee.
“I will get someone on that. When will you be in?” Jameson asked as Stephanie walked out of the bathroom wearing
Alex’s clothes.
“Hall and I should be there within the hour. You won’t need me long today right? I plan on helping Lily move in
here.” Alex said trying not to laugh at the pained look on Hall’s face.
“Hall? She stay with you guys last night. Hung over I suppose. Yeah only a couple hours on both of you.” Jameson
was chuckling softly.
“Ok I will let her know I am sure she will be happy to be leaving early. See you when I get there boss.” Alex said
and hung up the phone.
Lily stumbled out of the bedroom and sat down beside Steph at the kitchen. Alex rolled her eyes turned and made
Lily a coffee before making them all some toast. Steph refused the toast to begin with until Lily said it would
help her hang over.
“Lily you should have stayed in bed for a little while.” Alex said after a moment.
“I may just go back, wanted to see you before you left. I have a lot to move I should get started early but my
head.” Lily said rubbing her forehead with her hand.
“Now you know why I don’t drink.” Alex chuckled looking at her companions in there sorry states.
“Yeah, yeah.” Stephanie said scowling.
“Drink your coffee and eat your toast.” Alex said as she sipped her own, they all sat there in relative silence
until Alex announced it was time for them to get to work.
Alex kissed Lily on the lips as she left and Steph said she would see her later. Alex went to her car and waited
for Hall to pull out of the drive way before she started off behind her. They made it to HQ 20 minutes later and
walked up to there offices together chatting lightly about the night before.
Once there they parted ways and Alex went to her office where she found a small list of abattoirs in the area.
She looked through them and pulled up a map on the Internet and marked off all there locations. She found three
that most intrigued her and she got up and went and found Jameson.
She found Jim in his office with Fips and Casey talking about the abattoirs. Alex pointed out the ones she would
like them to follow up on first. Jameson agreed and sent Fips and Casey to get Fletcher and then go out to the
abattoirs. Jameson listened to Alex’s theory on the perp wanting the organs for some kind of memento.
Jameson agreed and decided it would be easier to find the person that way as they would have the organs as proof.
Alex agreed with her boss’ logic and then went back to her office and started on a profile. She was still coming
up blank but she had a few extra things to go on. She decided the person killing the kids was doing it our of hate
or rage not out of revenge.
That was all she could come up with and by 9 AM she decided to leave. She told Jameson and he said he would keep
her up to date and that he would see her on Tuesday. She stopped by Halls office and Hall said she would see her
on Tuesday. Alex said she would bring Halls clothes in for her and then left.
When she got home Lily’s car was still there and she smiled as she walked inside and called out to Lily. There
was no answer so Alex walked into the bedroom and smiled when she saw Lily was still curled up asleep in the middle
of the bed. Alex shook her head a little and left her girlfriend alone. She went back out to the kitchen and put
the coffee pot on before she grabbed Lily’s car keys and head off back out to Lily’s car that she noticed had several
boxes in it. She unloaded the box from the car and sat them in the living room before she made herself a cup of
coffee. She drank her coffee and then made a second one before she went back into the bedroom and lay down on the
bed beside Lily.
“Lil’.” Alex said softly as she ran her hand through Lily’s short blonde hair.
Lily stirred a little but didn’t open her eyes and Alex smiled and leaned forward and pressed her lips firmly against
Lily’s. She knew when Lily woke as the blonde began kissing her in earnest. The kiss deepened but Alex reluctantly
pulled back.
“I would love to climb in there with you Lily but we are moving you in today and it’s already 10 in the morning.”
Alex said softly as she looked into Lily’s eyes.
“Its 10 already?” Lily sat up quickly and Alex laughed at her.
“Yes. Come on go take a shower and we will head over to your place. I made you coffee.” Alex said as she sat up
herself.
“How long have you been here?” Lily asked climbing out of the bed and walking into the bathroom.
“About 40 minutes.” Alex said looking at Lily’s back and then her legs.
“You should have woke me when you got in.” Lily said turning the water on in the shower and then starting to get
undressed completely while Alex watched.
“Maybe.” Alex said in a husky voice.
“You could join me.” Lily suggested as she stepped into the shower.
“No I couldn’t I want to get you moved in. If I joined you in the shower it would be all day before I would want
to get out of bed again.” Alex said chuckling softly and walking back into the kitchen.
A few minutes later Lily walked out dressed in some of Alex’s clothes, she noticed the boxes in the living room
and went over to them before looking back at Alex who was watching her from the kitchen counter.
“You should have waited some of these were heavy.” Lily said smiling as she walked over to Alex.
“Yeah but I'm tough.” Alex flexed her muscles and grinned when Lily laughed at her.
“You’re cute.” Lily said kissing the slightly smaller woman on the forehead.
“You keep saying that.” Alex said smiling and kissed Lily on the chin.
Lily smiled and stepped back and grabbed her coffee cup and drank the coffee quickly before sitting the empty mug
in the sink. She took Alex’s hand and they went out and got in Lily’s car and drove back over to Lily’s apartment.
Once there they started carting the boxes downstairs and packing them in Lily’s car.
Alex then helped Lily pack up the rest of her belongings in the few boxes that remained. They would have to come
back again but they got almost everything in the car before they left and went back to Alex’s.
It was late afternoon when they finally got out of the car for the last time and finished carting all the boxes
inside. Alex and Lily both slumped down on the couch and Lily picked up her phone and ordered them a pizza.
“Where am I supposed to put everything?” Lily asked while they waited on the pizza guy.
“Move some stuff around and make room for your stuff.” Alex said absently as she picked up Lily’s hand and began
playing with the long fingers.
“You sure? What if I move stuff and you can’t find it?” Lily asked as she watched Alex.
“Then I will ask you where it is. It’s no big deal to me.” Alex said looking up at Lily.
“Let’s get a pet.” Lily said suddenly.
“Going all out aren’t you. What do you want?” Alex asked surprising Lily.
“Fish?” Lily said smiling a little.
“Fish aren’t pets they are living table ornaments. We need a real pet like a cat or a dog.” Alex said pulling Lily’s
hand to her face and nibbling on the tips of Lily’s fingers.
“Dog. A big one, like a…. St. Bernard.” Lily suggested, she was testing Alex and Alex knew it.
“If that’s what you want. A golden retriever would be more reasonable though.” Alex said before sucking on the
end of one of Lily’s fingers.
“Bernard’s are too big. I know someone who breeds King Shepherds.” Lily said a little huskily as Alex sucked on
her fingers.
“Those look like German Shepherds right, only longer coats? I like those.” Alex said before she moved her mouth
to another finger.
“Yeah. What are you doing your driving me crazy!?” Lily moved and pressed her lips against Alex’s in a hard kiss
that Alex returned eagerly.
Lily pushed Alex back on the couch and they were kissing and touching lightly when the doorbell rang. Lily groaned
and stood up, leaving Alex lying on the couch watching her. Lily paid for the pizza and tipped the guy and took
the pizza and sat it on the coffee table in the lounge before she returned to her place on top of Alex on the couch.
They forgot about the pizza and had soon moved off into the bedroom undressing on there way. Once naked they began
touching one another and muttering sweet nothings. Alex moved finally and pushed Lily onto her back but instead
of moving over Lily like she had the previous times she instead moved down the tall body kissing a trail to the
junction of Lily’s thighs.
Alex began her ministrations soon after looked up to watch her lover as the blonde climaxed. With a smile Alex
moved back up beside Lily and kissed her gently on the mouth before lying on her side watching as Lily regained
her breath.
“Why didn’t you do it the other way?” Lily asked curiously when she was breathing regularly.
“Does it matter? Didn’t you like that?” Alex asked frowning a little.
“Of course I did. But I like it the other way too. Did you go down on me so you don’t have to worry about biting
me?” Lily asked gently and Alex knew she was worried about upsetting her.
“Yes. Is it a bad thing that I don’t like hurting you?” Alex asked rolling onto her back and staring at the ceiling.
“It isn’t a bad thing no.” Lily said turning her head to the side to look at Alex.
Alex didn’t say anything she just lay there and stared at the ceiling until she felt a gently hand touch her stomach.
She turned her head and smiled at Lily who was watching her.
They looked at each other for a while before Alex leaned over and kissed Lily gently on the mouth. They lay there
for a long while just kissing lingeringly until Alex’s stomach made an audible sound.
“Oh yeah we forgot all about that pizza.” Lily said giggling a little at the sound.
“Yeah my stomach didn’t.” Alex said rubbing her belly.
Lily laughed and they got off the bed and found a couple of robes to put on before they went back out to the lounge.
They re-heated the now cold pizza and then sat around on the couch the pizza between them as they chatted lightly
about dogs and then all Lily’s stuff.
After they ate they started unpacking Lily’s thing and putting them around the house. They were only half way done
when they decided to go back to bed. They climbed under the sheets and snuggled up together.
“Would you mind setting your alarm for 7:30, I have to go into work for a couple hours in the morning.” Lily said
ending with a yawn.
“Sure.” Alex said as she set the alarm and then cuddled up beside Lily.
They both fell asleep pretty quickly and both slept deeply after the work they had done that day. Alex woke when
the alarm went off at 7:30 and she reached over and turned it off before laying back on her back and stretching
out beneath the sheets.
Lily woke up and did the same and then curled back up beside Alex and sighed heavily. She laid like that for a
little while before she sat up a little propping herself up on her elbow to look at Alex.
“I don’t want your biting to be a problem. It really doesn’t bother me Alex I promise.” Lily said after a moment.
“I know, but it bothers me.” Alex said quietly looking away from Lily’s eyes.
Lily didn’t say anything she just leaned down and kissed Alex hard on the mouth and as an after thought she bit
Alex’s lip hard. Alex groaned softly and opened her eyes too look at Lily and saw surprise on her face.
“How did that feel to you?” Lily asked curiously sitting up properly.
“I kind of… liked it. It didn’t hurt so much as felt nice.” Alex was frowning.
“That’s strange.” Lily said as she reached over and wiped Alex’s chin.
Alex was shocked to see blood on Lily’s thumb that she had used to wipe her chin. She was even more shocked to
see Lily suck the blood off of her thumb. She wanted to stop her but it was too late.
Alex sat there and stared at Lily who was watching her closely and then a slow smile came to her face. Alex looked
at Lily tilted her head a little before rolling her eyes. She ordered Lily to go and shower and then left the room
and went out to the kitchen to make coffee.
Alex washed the remaining blood off her chin and then made them both a cup of coffee each and then sat down at
the kitchen counter and stared absently at her cup. She was a little startled when Lily stepped up behind her and
wrapped her arms around Alex’s waist.
They both chuckled a little about Lily sneaking up on Alex all the time and then sat down and drank their coffees
in companionable silence. When the coffee was done Alex watched as Lily put shoes and socks and then kissed her
good bye as Lily left to go into work.
Alex went and showered and after she was dressed she started unpacking more of Lily’s things while she thought
about the case. Two hours later she was startled by a knock at the door and she finally remembered her Aunt was
showing up today. She got up and went to the door and steadied her nerves before she opened the door.
She smiled at the two women that were standing there both with small suit cases and was a little pleased when the
woman with black hair stepped over the threshold and hugged Alex fiercely. Alex returned the hug and the woman
who must have been Abigail started sobbing.
Alex looked a little helplessly at the other woman who was smiling at her still and then shrugged at Alex. After
a moment the other woman stepped forward and put her hand on Abigails shoulder.
“Love, you need to let go of the girl so she can let us in.” The woman said quietly.
Abigail sobbed again and then let go of Alex and stepped back before looking at her with teary eyes. She smiled
and said an almost shy hello and then chuckled a little ruefully at herself.
“This is my partner Matilda.” Abigail said after a moment. “I hope you don’t mind… I mean that she’s a woman.”
Alex barked out a laugh that surprised them both and then grinned a little nervously.
“Not at all, I have one of those myself actually.” Alex said chuckling at the pleasantly surprised look on there
faces.
“Well, I’ll be.” Abigail said approvingly.
“Come on in make yourselves at home.” Alex stepped back from the door and let them both in.
They both walked in and Alex directed them to the still somewhat untidy lounge room and sat them on the couch before
she went to the kitchen and made them all coffee. She told them about how they was just in the process of moving
Lily in that that was why all the boxes were strewn through the house.
The front door opened almost an hour later and Lily walked in, she smiled at the people in the living room and
said hello before she raced off to the bathroom and Alex chuckled a little. They waited for Lily to come back out
and then Alex introduced her aunt and Matilda.
“Nice to meet you both. I was so pleased when Alex finally worked up the courage to call you.” Lily said as she
moved into the kitchen and made herself a cup of coffee.
“I was rather pleased to hear from her. I have so much to tell.” Abigail said a little excitedly.
“She wants to hear it all so feel free to start where ever you like.” Lily said over her shoulder as she refilled
the coffee pot.
Abigail lapsed into conversation and told Alex all about her mother and how Isobel was a rather out going loving
and sweet person. She moved onto how there parents were outraged that Isobel had become pregnant before her 14th
birthday and Alex sat and listened raptly.
Abigail had just started talking about Mark Turner when Alex’s phone started ringing, Lily got up from the couch
and walked over to the kitchen counter where the phone was and after seeing the number was Jameson’s she answered
it speaking quietly to him as Abigail continued talking.
Lily moved back over to the couch and sat down and got everyone’s attention before she spoke.
“That was Jim; he wants you to call him back a bit later. He told me to tell you that they checked out those abattoirs
but came up blank. He said he would send Casey and Fletcher to check out some a little further away from the drop
sights but that he doubted anything would come of it.”
“Danmit. I am sure it has to have been in an abattoir somewhere.” Alex said scowling.
“What’s going on?” Matilda asked curiously.
“Alex is an FBI Profiler. She is working on a serial killing case in the city but they can’t find any leads that
actually lead them anywhere.” Lily informed.
“An FBI Profiler? Isobel would indeed be so proud of you.” Abigail said a little sadly as she looked at Alex.
Alex smiled and tilted her head a little. She was silent for quite a few minutes but finally turned to Abigail
and asked a question that she had wanted the answer to more than anything else.
“I know she was young. But why did she give me away?” She asked slowly.
“She didn’t want to. You have to understand. Isobel was so happy when she found out she was pregnant. Our parents
where outraged hated it, they avoided Izzy as best they could while she was pregnant and unknown to any of us they
had found people to take you when you was born.“When Isobel gave birth to you she saw your face and your gorgeous
violet eyes and she was so happy in that one moment. The doctor took you and gave you to a nurse so they could
clean you up and take you to the little room with all the babies. That was the last time any of us saw you.” Abigail
spoke and a tear fell from her eye and rolled down her cheek.
“They… they gave me away? Without Isobel knowing?” Alex asked and her voice broke.
“Yes. They said if you were gone then the family would be back to normal. Isobel was beside herself, she screamed
and yelled and threatened and cried and smashed things hoping they would give you back but they didn’t. They are
cold people, ruthless. After that first tantrum Isobel wouldn’t speak to anyone but Mark and he was forbidden to
be at the house. She used to sneak out of a night time and go and see him. She found some paper work by the people
that took you and she tracked them down to find you. She did and found out that the Mosses had sent you off to
some top secret laboratory for some kind of genetic testing.” Abigail looked a little questioningly at Alex and
when Alex gave a slight nod she carried on.
“Your mother went crazy on the Moss’ threatened to kill them apparently. They called the police and Isobel was
arrested. They didn’t press charges and our parents went and picked her up from the station and took her home.
She snuck out again the next night when she finally stopped screaming and went and saw Mark. The Mosses moved within
the next three weeks and it all became too much for Isobel. She had sent a letter to Mark and then went out into
the meadow behind our parent’s house. Mark came to me when he got the letter and he yelled at our parents. We found
Isobel in the meadow; she had stabbed herself in the heart.” Abigail let out a sob and Matilda hugged her tightly.
Alex sat there completely dumbfounded and then got off the couch and walked outside leaving Matilda and Abigail
on the couch. Lily followed her and caught her arm as Alex was on her way to her car.
“Alex, its ok.” Lily said gently looking wonderingly at Alex.
“I’m going to go into work for a little while. I need the time Lily. Tell them I will bring home some take out.
Let her know I'm not mad at her, I just need the time. Please.” Alex’s voice broke several times but she didn’t
break down and start sobbing like she wanted to.
“Alright. Here I will text you a little later. Be safe my love.” Lily said kissing her gently on the forehead.
“I’m so glad I have you Lily.” Alex said gently giving Lily a watery smile.
Lily smiled and watched as Alex drove off out the drive way before she turned back and went into the house and
informed the other women what was up. They both nodded there understanding and Abigail went and laid down in the
room Lily pointed out to them. Matilda went in with Abigail but came back out shortly after and sat in the lounge
talking lightly with Lily.
Alex got to work and walked absently up to her office and sat down at her desk and stared at a spot on it for close
on an hour before she was distracted by Fips walking into her office. She looked up at him and waited for him to
speak.
“Jees Moss, you look like you have seen a ghost.” Fips stated bluntly.
“Something like that. What is it Fips?” Alex asked sighing a little.
“I saw you come in thought I would let you know that Casey and Fletcher just called. None of the other abattoirs
they went to deal with pig carcass.” Fips informed.
“Alright, thanks for letting me know.” Alex said again and scowled as Fips walked out of her office.
Alex sat thinking about the case then instead of the gut wrenching story about her biological parents and the trauma
they must have felt. She looked over the map she had written on regarding the other abattoirs and then thought
of something she hadn’t thought of until then.
She pulled up a web browser on her computer and searched closed down abattoirs in NYC and came up with a short
list of 5 abattoirs. She wrote down the street addresses and went out to find Hall who was in her office scowling
over some paper work she was doing. She gladly took the list and went to work on finding out who owned the buildings.
Alex went back to her office and did a few more searches one was on Isobel Wallace and she pulled up an old newspaper
article and read through it briefly. She held back tears as she read the words ‘young woman found dead in a meadow
with a knife through her chest’.
Alex shook her head and closed the page just as Hall came back in and handed her a list of names. They talked briefly
regarding why Alex wanted to know who owned the buildings and then Hall left. Alex looked over the names and did
a data base search of all of them.
Each name had a criminal file but it was all petty crimes such as shop lifting or mugging. There was one name that
had no file. It was a woman’s name and Alex frowned a little at it. She did a general web search of the name and
came up with a little information that intrigued her.
Maryanne Parks turned out to be a 46 year old woman. Alex found a Facebook page belonging to the woman and looked
over the little bit of information that was on there. She went to the photos and looked through the images and
found several that caught Alex’s attention. They were all of a younger woman standing outside a large factory like
building with animals in small yards on the left side of it. She enlarged the image and read the blurry name on
the side of the building.
She did a search of the building name and found that it was one of the run down abattoirs she had written down
on another list. She read what info she could find on the factory and wasn’t very surprised to see that Maryanne
Parks had bought the building when it closed down several years ago.
Alex printed out the pages she had found on the woman a few photos from the Facebook page and then took it all
to Jameson. She found her boss in his office and brushed off his surprised question about why she was there. She
sat the papers on the table and sat down and waited for Jameson to finish reading through them.
“You think this is the perp?” Jameson asked looking up from the papers a little excited glint in his eyes.
“I think we need to look into it more. Send someone down to the building before we go tearing into this woman’s
life but I have a strong feeling.” Alex said nodding to the question as she spoke.
“You’re good at your job Alex.” Jameson said grinning.
“Hold your praise until we find out if it is her or not boss. I’m going to go back home I have stuff to deal with
back there but call me when you find out something wont you?” Alex said standing up and moving to the door.
“I sure will kid. Talk to you later.” Jameson said and Alex left.
Alex called into a KFC drive through and picked up a family meal and then drove back to her place. She sat in the
car for a few minutes before she went inside. Abigail was still in there room but Lily and Matilda was sitting
on the couch drinking coffee and chatting. Alex moved over to the kitchen counter and set the food down.
She smiled at Lily and Matilda and then after a moment she walked into the room that her aunt was sleeping in.
She sat down on the bed and brushed her aunts black hair out of her face and smiled when the woman woke up and
looked at her.
“I’m sorry I ran out earlier. It was all just so much.” Alex spoke first.
“I think I can understand. You don’t know anything about what happened and then you get told it all, all at once.
It has to be rough on you.” Abigail said smiling reassuringly.
“It can’t be easy for you either, dredging up all this stuff about your sister.” Alex said softly.
“It isn’t easy but I don’t mind for your sake. Just let me know when you want to hear more and I will tell you
any thing you want.” Abigail sat up and kissed Alex on the forehead.
“Ok, maybe we can talk more about it later. I hope you aren’t a vegetarian I didn’t even think about it when I
got dinner. KFC.” Alex said frowning a little as she looked at her aunt.
“KFC is my favourite fast food. Tilly’s too in fact.” Abigail said as she moved out of the bed when Alex stood
up.
“Great. Lets go eat I'm starved.” Alex said walking out of the room with her aunt.
“Did someone mention food?” Lily asked from the couch and everyone chuckled at her.
Alex got them all some plates and took the food and sat it on the coffee table and soon everyone was eating hungrily
at the chicken and potatoes. They all ate in relative silence and laughed at the odd joke one of them would make.
Finally they went back to talking about Alex’s mother. “So, after she died what did you parents do? What did Mark
do?” Alex asked curiously after a while.
“Our parents were a little shocked that Isobel killed herself but they are heartless bastards the both of them.
I met a girl and fell madly in love with her and finally came out to my parents and that was when the family really
fell apart. They seemed to hate my sexuality just as much as they hated that Isobel got pregnant and was seeing
Mark. I moved out and we haven’t spoken since actually. Mark, for a few years I didn’t see him at all.” Abigail
paused and looked down at her hands for a moment.
“Was it Matilda?” Lily asked curiously.
Abigail and Matilda both grinned and nodded and Lily made a few comments and had a look of utter admiration on
her face.
“What happened when you saw Mark again?” Alex asked, Lily phone started ringing and she glanced at her lover and
she stood up and walked into the kitchen.
“Well he came and found us actually. He said he had found more proof of what was happening to you. He talked about
finding you and taking you back, stealing you away from the Moss’s. He stayed with Matilda and me for a few months
but he was always angry, it was so hard to get through to him.” Abigail said gently.
“It was obvious just how much he had love Isobel and even you. He wondered about you all the time.” Matilda said
quietly.
“Eventually he moved out, he said he was going to find you and get you back and bring you home to us and he planned
for the three of us to look after you. We were still pretty young, I wasn’t quite 20. Again we didn’t hear from
him in years but when we did he said he had found the Moss family. He said watched you go to school and come back
of an afternoon.” Abigail informed smiling a little.
Lily had finished talking on the phone and came back in and sat down behind Alex on the couch resting her chin
on Alex’s shoulder as she listened to the conversation.
“Well he must have been watching for a few months, it was just after your 12th birthday when he called us again.
He was livid but he wouldn’t say why, he just kept telling us he was going to kill them. We tried to talk him out
of it, to tell him what a mistake that would be but he didn’t listen. He was too furious to hear anything.
We heard about it on the news a week later that the Moss’ had been brutally murdered in cold blood.” Abigail was
twisting her hands a little nervously as she watched Alex.
“He turned himself in. We don’t know why but he stayed near the house waiting for you to get home from school and
then he called the police himself.” Matilda said wonder in her voice.
“And you don’t know why he was in such a rage?” Alex asked, something in her voice them look at her in a curious
way.
“No he never said.” Abigail stated.
“He must have seen.” Alex muttered quietly.
“Seen what baby?” Lily asked gently over Alex’s shoulder.
“The men, three of them, they came out to the house late afternoon 2 days after I turned twelve. They had suitcases
and medical supplies. The Moss’ told me they needed to take my blood to make sure I was still healthy and that
all the kids had this happen to them but that they never talked about it cause it was a personal thing. I was too
young to understand they were lying. I had just started my period.” Alex said frowning a little.
“What did they do?” Abigail’s voice was lower and she seemed to be holding her breath.
“They took my blood, and then injected me with something, and gave me two small pills to take.” Alex said flatly.
“They were doing some weird genetic testing on me; I don’t know what was or what they put in me but… I bite Lily
when we make love but I don’t even realise I'm doing it.”
They all sat there quietly for a long while and none of them spoke until Abigail stood up and paced angrily around
the couch. Alex, Lily and Matilda watched her and waited for her to speak.
“That would definitely make him angry. He only saw you the once when you was a baby but it was just like with Isobel,
you could tell he immediately loved you. For people so young they sure were happy to have you. It must have been
that that he saw. I never would have thought he was capable of killing people though.” Abigail was clenching her
fists a little.
“Alex, Tilly happens to be a hematologist.” Lily said quietly.
“Of course. Alex if you want I can help you find out what is in your blood. If they were genetically testing with
you then it will be in your blood. If you want I can take your blood and send it off to a good friend of mine and
have it looked over.” Matilda said excitedly.
“I would like that actually especially if it helps explain my behaviour sometimes. When can you do it?” Alex asked
smiling.
“Well I have the instruments to take your blood. I generally carry that kinda stuff around not that I know why.
But I will have to go to the local hospital and see if they will transfer the blood to my clinic in Michigan.”
Matilda said.
They talked about this for a little while before Abigail announced she was ready to go back to bed. Alex and Lily
said good night to Abigail and Matilda before they settled back down on the couch. Alex took Lily’s hand and held
it in her own.
“How are you feeling sweetheart?” Lily asked softly.
“Like I want to go and see him.” Alex answered quietly.
“Ask for some more time off and we will head out there.” Lily said immediately.
“You’re so good to me.” Alex leaned over and kissed Lily gently on the mouth.
“Let’s go to bed I'm tired and its kinda late.” Lily said smiling as she stood up and pulled Alex to her feet.
They got in bed and after setting the alarm they went to sleep snuggled up together. It was before dawn when Alex
woke up to her phone buzzing and she silently cursed who ever invented the devices. She answered the phone and
sat up when he heard Jameson’s voice.
“That’s the place Alex. We haven’t found where the woman lives though so we are watching the place. There was some
weird looking Canopic Jars there with the missing organs. Blood from the boys was on the saw and a few pig carcasses
were hung up there rotting.” Jameson informed before Alex got the chance to say more than hello.
“Awesome. I hope they find her, do you have anyone searching for an address?” Alex asked stifling a yawn.
“Of course we do. We just haven’t found it yet. I thought you ought to know is all I can let you get a bit more
sleep now and we will talk when you come in.” Jameson said casually.
“Alright I will see you then.” Alex hung up the phone and laid back down smiling a little as she closed her eyes.
“Case going well then?” Lily’s tired voice asked.
“Yes. Found the missing organs and the places the murders are performed. Just have to find the woman. Go back to
sleep we will talk about it later.” Alex said turning in Lily’s arms and putting her arm over Lily’s side.
“Alright.” Lily mumbled and fell back asleep.
Alex fell asleep thinking about how happy she was with Lily and how things were going in her life right at the
moment. She was participating in bring a killer to justice, her aunt was there telling her about the family she
wondered about for so long and she had an amazingly loving girlfriend whom she would never stop loving.
The alarm buzzed and Alex got out of bed and showered almost immediately after turning it off. She was excited
and wanted to get into her office to find out how things were going. She got dressed and woke Lily who had fallen
back asleep and then went out and turned the coffee pot on.
She was making coffee when Matilda and Abigail walked out looking sleepy. She gestured for them to sit at the kitchen
counter and made them both coffees as well. She set the coffees in front of them and handed the other to Lily when
she walked out and stood beside Alex.
“I shouldn’t be very long at work today but I may not get home until late I have something to do.” Lily said after
taking a mouthful of the hot brew.
“That’s ok I will probably be hanging around HQ for a while I want to see them bring this woman in. What about
you both?” Alex asked looking at her aunts.
“Well I was thinking about calling a cab and going in to the hospital.” Matilda said failing to stifle a yawn.
“Don’t call a cab. If you can both get dressed in the next half hour you can come with me to HQ and then take my
car. So long as you remember to pick me up before you go home you can have it as long as you like.” Alex said sipping
her own coffee.
“Alright then if you don’t mind. Cab fares are ridiculous.” Abigail said in a sleepy voice.
Alex and Lily watched the older women walk off to the bedroom they had stayed in and then chuckled together at
the state of both the women in the morning. They chatted lightly and then Lily headed out the door after receiving
a gentle kiss from Alex.
Once they were showered and dressed Alex ushered her aunts to the car and drove to HQ and pulled up outside the
building. She gave them some directions to the hospital and sent them on there way. She walked upstairs and made
her way to her office and sat down at her desk looking through some files that had been sat there.
After a while her curiosity got the better of her and she went and found Jameson. He told her all about what they
had found at the old run down abattoir and then some. He said that some officers were on there way right now to
go and pick up the woman and bring her. Alex was about to say something when her floors receptionist came into
the room.
“Miss Moss, there’s some women down stairs asking after you.” The woman said after apologising for interrupting.
“Can you send them up and show them where my office is?” Alex asked smiling at the woman.
The receptionist nodded and left the room and shortly after showed Abigail and Matilda to Alex’s office. Jameson
asked who they were and Alex said briefly that they were her aunts from out of town and then left and went to her
office. She walked in and smiled at the women that were sitting in front of the desk.
“Find the hospital alright?” Alex asked as she sat down at her desk.
“Yeah. They said they can send it through a courier to Michigan. So if we take it tomorrow morning I can take it
strait over to the hospital and get it sent off.” Matilda said smiling.
“Fantastic. I’m glad to have you as aunt.” Alex smiled warmly at Matilda.
They lapsed into conversation and was still talking some time later when Agent Hall walked into the office. Alex
smiled at her friend and Co worker and introduced everyone. Stephanie sat down on the edge of the desk and pointed
to a woman who was being lead through the office outside.
“That’s her. Being interviewed now. You sticking around to see what she says?” Hall asked Alex.
“I would like to it depends on Abby and Tilly though.” Alex said raising questioning brows at her aunts.
“We don’t mind waiting around.” Abigail said honestly.
The four of them sat in the office and talked lightly about the case after Hall explained it briefly to Alex’s
aunts. They all looked out the window when they saw the woman now struggling being pulled through the offices.
Alex got up and walked out of her office with Hall and her aunts in tow and stopped to watch the woman.
Abigail and Matilda were holding hands and the woman seemed to see them and glared at them nastily before she spoke
in a scathing tone.
“Dykes look at them! You should mind who you associate with.”
Alex stepped forward and scruffed the restrained woman by the front of the shirt and looked her in the eye. If
looks could kill the woman would have died right there as Alex gave her the cruellest look she had ever given anyone
before she spoke.
“What you did to though boys was an abomination and I hope you rot in hell. I also hope the woman at the state
prison get to have some fun with you before you get the needle. And just FYI I would rather associate with ‘dykes’
than a sadistic murderer like you.” The words were spoken softly and the woman went pale at the mention of capital
punishment.
Alex let the woman go and stepped back and watched as the woman was walked over to the lift and took her to the
basement holding cells. The office was silent for a long while before everyone started to get back to there work.
Jameson walked over to Alex and put his arm around her shoulders.
“You alright kid?” Jameson asked as he walked with Alex, Hall, Abigail and Matilda back to Alex’s office.
“I’m fine. Hate people like that. I do hope she rots.” Alex said throwing a reassuring smile at Jameson.
In the office they all sat down and Jameson told them about the interview. About how Maryanne Parks was an open
homophobe. He said how the woman explained that what she was doing was for the good of the country, that she thought
she was ridding the country of the gay taint.
Alex made a few disgusted sounds as she listened and both Abigail and Matilda were scowling as they listened on.
Jameson got around telling them that the woman said she killed the boys by cutting them in half after she assaulted
them with sex toys and occasionally a baseball bat.
“I’m glad she confessed and seemed to remorseless about it. Means she should hopefully get the needle. I know I
would feel better knowing a soul like that is out of this plane.” Hall said when Jameson was done talking.
“You a Christian girl Hall?” Jameson asked curiously.
“Yes sir.” Hall answered proudly.
“You didn’t seem very Christian the other night at that club.” Alex laughed.
“Don’t remind me.” Hall grimaced as she remembered the night and the day after.
“You keep strange company for a Christian. All these gays.” Jameson said casually.
“Pfft, not all Christians are homophobes boss. Just the ones that think they are better than anyone else. I happen
to know two very nice homo’s that I get along with really well. One gives real good massages.” Hall said matter
of factly.
“I assume your talking about Lily. Alex is hopeless.” Jameson said causing everyone to laugh.
The five of them chatted for a little longer before Alex announced she was ready to go home. Jameson and Hall said
good bye to Abigail and Matilda and then walked the three women to the elevator. Alex asked were they had parked
and then the three of them went out to the street and piled in Alex’s car.
They got home and they all sat down at the kitchen counter and had coffee. They talked for a little while before
Abigail and Matilda said they would cook some dinner for the four of them. Alex announced she was going to shower
and went off and got undressed and stood under the hot water.
When she was done she climbed out of the shower and got dressed and was walking out of the bathroom when she tripped
over something small and furry. She rolled onto her back and looked at the puppy that was crawling towards her
on its belly its little tale wagging swiftly.
“Aren’t you a little beauty?” Alex said sweetly to the little puppy and then picked it up.
The puppy was a fluffy little King Shepherd and its coat was mostly black with brown around its eyes and muzzle
and on its feet. She scratched the puppy’s belly and it squirmed a little in her arms. Lily walked into the bedroom
and scowled at the dog getting its belly rubbed.
“Little rat, it was meant to be a surprise.” Lily said kneeling down beside Alex.
“She was a surprise. I tripped over her coming out of the bathroom.” Alex said grinning at Lily.
“Well that’s our dog.” Lily said grinning back.
“She’s a beauty. What’s her name?” Alex asked curiously.
“That’s up to you. What do you want to call her?” Lily asked softly.
Alex stared at the puppy for a long while still rubbing its belly. It had calmed down a lot and was now lying quietly
in Alex’s arms watching her curiously. Alex tilted her head and a smile came to her face.
“Belle. Like Isobel after my mom.” Alex said quietly looking up at Lily.
Lily smiled back and then kissed Alex lingeringly on the mouth.
