if god were woman

Copyright © by Sally Ann, 1998

if god were woman
would there be wars
dying, crying
unfair laws

if god were woman
would there be trees
green leaves, blue skies
or seas

If god were woman
would there be rabies
old bones, thrown stones
sick babies

if god were woman
would i be wife
with fire, lustful desire
and life

yes god is woman
well can't you see
the moods, the changes
just like me

we are just not perfect yet.
