Enclosed by your beauty,
I close my eyes,
And feel
The warmth of your voice coursing through me.
It's all I want in life.
Calling my name.
Look inward, but not too long
Or you'll miss the sky
And the humorous moon
That presents a smile
To the shooting stars
As they speed their way
Towards me and you.
Look inward, but not too long
Or you'll miss the child
With her outstretched arms
Reaching for you
Because she wants to be loved
Just as much as you.
Look inward, but not too long
Because life's too short
And so am I
And I hope I just
Made you smile
Because I love your smile
So I'll say it again
But I'll wait 'til you're sad
And maybe then...
Look inward, but not too long
Or you'll miss the trees
That grow together
And seem to be
As friends forever
Or perhaps as lovers
(Embracing each other)
Protecting each other
From unfriendly weather.
Look inward, but not too long
So you can hear the voice,
The voice that's singing
Much more than the words
Speaking to you
I can hear it too
(Because I'm singing to you).
Be alive to the magical rhythm of life.
With your eyes and your ears and your mind.
See the rhythm of the trees as they sway in the breeze.
Hear the rhythm of the waves as they roll through the sea.
The wind made these,
But where did it come from?
And where does it go?
And who sets the rhythm
In the wind that blows?
The strong steady rhythm of my stride as I run.
That sweet, sweet rhythm,
The pulsing of our centers as we come,
Together you and I,
Sharing the magical rhythm of life.
Come show me your garden
And I'll discover who you are
Where every lovely flower
Whispers who you are.
A garden so well loved
Every flower softly sings
And smiles like happy children
Growing content within your ring.
You've created a visual symphony
Composed a concert of luminous hues:
Lavender, fuscia, and pink
Vermillion, yellow and blue.
And the concert gets better
With each passing year.
A return for your love
From the garden you hold dear.
So what have I learned
From your garden about you?
That your beauty within
Blossoms into beauty
around you.
