There is a place in your soul that is captured and bound
until it is released by "the touch of a woman."
Where all that exists ceases to exist until she touches you,
that "touch of a woman".
A woman's hands hold the ecstasy that we crave for, live for and
breathe for. We who long for the "touch of a woman".
The memories of her touch that haunts us and a desire that never
leaves us is "the touch of a woman".
For over thirty years, I have prayed for my Creator to release me of what I, at age thirteen, considered a curse.
It never occurred to me that I was trying to rid myself of my right. I was sincere in my prayer and no one knew
better than my Creator how much "my preference" was to be heterosexual. It has taken thirty-three years
to finally make peace with it. I came to this earth with it. The choice was not mine. When I must give an account
of my life I will simply say "I did not request it, but I am fully accountable for what I did with it. It
was my privilege to have it.
Then I will ask "imperfection is every human beings destiny, is it not?"
I repressed it
I prayed it
I cursed it
I hated it
For thirty-three years,
I judged it
I loathed it
I buried it
I agonized it
And now,
I face it
I trust it
I need it
I want it
It's a part of me,
I embrace it
I respect it
I like it
I talk it
From this moment,
I walk it
I live it
I release it
I accept it
( Exhale )
My relief.
