The Kiss

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, 1997

I love the way our lips and bodies meet...
The way you lift yours gently onto your toes
I kiss the tip of your nose...

Our moment of soul surrender
Our love slow and tender
Burning intensity
Emotions swells and grows...

Twin sighs as senses
Return to reality...
Our breath demands
We relinquish
The kiss

On The Road Called Time

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, September 22, 2009

I gather memories on the road called time
The scent of her skin like sweet wild berries
The warmth of her lips and taste of her tongue
Our love tempo I pluck from the air
Unique melodies only soul mates hear...

The heavens open
Thundering
Showering down
From between moist thighs
Sweet rain
Falls
On the road called time

NB. 'On The Road Called Time' is from the writer’s Xena: Warrior Princess, fan fiction short Story ‘ALONE’

Morning

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, September 30, 2009

Morning's red glow

Pours through coloured blinds

Immediately I rise...

Rani in the kitchen tea and toast,

A warm tingle from belly to toes,

Bathroom visit,

Then a swift loving peep, where

Our daughter lies asleep...

I turn to smiling Asia eyes,

Lilac kisses,

Immediately I rise...

So It Begins

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, September 30, 2009

So it begins,

Come the time when truth hurts...

The welling up of inmost thoughts,

Choke into reality,

Clawing at memories locked within,

The clarity of understanding,

Creeps into the dawn of knowing.

NB. 'So It Begins' is an original Poem from the writer's Xena:WP Post Fin short Story, 'ALONE.'

Musings: The Bard

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, September 30, 2009

...My love sprung forth

And fell on rocky ground,

Placing wet kisses in a callused hand,

Loving footprints upon her land...

Water and earth mingle,

Once was barren

Now is fertile...

NB. Musings: The Bard, and Musings: The Warrior, are original Poems from the writer's Xena & Gabrielle lyrical vignette, 'MUSINGS: The Bard & The Warrior.'

Musings: The Warrior

...As if from air,

Your sweet voice I hear,

A siren’s song,

To a sailor’s ear...

NB. Musings: The Bard, and Musings: The Warrior, are original Poems from the writer's Xena & Gabrielle lyrical vignette, 'MUSINGS: The Bard & The Warrior.'

DREAM TEARS

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, April 22, 2010

I thought that I could save you,
Save you from yourself,
Your screams silently find me,
Through the windows of my dreams...

Left here without you,
Feeling sad and blue,
All I do is sit and stare,
At mind pictures,
A perfect pair,
And cry,
Imperfect tears...

Why couldn’t I save you?
Save you for myself,
Chained by despair,
You drowned in my dream tears...

XENA'S EULOGY

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, April 22, 2010

“O Xena, Warrior Princess,
War cries echo through forests
For the child of Amphipilous...
Once a Destroyer
Of Gods and Nations,
Now redeemed,
Defender of the Greater Good...
Forty thousand deaths,
City of Higuchi avenged,
No longer earthbound,
Forever mourned...
Daughter,
Mother,
Sister,
Friend,
Soul mate,
Beloved,
Grace is found...”

O NUBIAN WOMAN

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, April 22, 2010

O Nubian Woman,
I’m always thinking of you,
The way your fingers,
Make patterns in the air,
Cowrie shells adorn your hair...
The way you lay your head to the side,
Your sensuality has no disguise,
The cadence of your voice,
Stirs my soul,
Hooded, hypnotised,
I drink you in with my eyes,
And memory holds you there...
Ours, a love non-affair,
Of perfect moments,
Profound in effect,
O Nubian woman,
You inspire me,
Allow love’s magic to appease,
Help me to unleash,
Emotional insecurities...

MY LOVE FOR YOU

Copyright © by Jennifer Alexander Robinson, April 22, 2010

“My love for you,
Is borne on the wings of a dove,
Guarded by the heart of a lion,
Fanned by pride,
Soothed by tranquillity...
My love for you,
Soars as an eagle in flight,
My love for you,
Is hopeful and free...”
