EARTH GODDESS WITH ME

Copyright © by Molly Nicole, December 14, 2010

When it is time
For her to reveal her brightest colors
As her sunset casts them across the earth
And her first crescent moon starts to glow
It becomes her secret signal to me
To go to the place that we call "our" own

I am guided
With just enough of her moonlight
As I briskly enter the familiar
Old abandoned park
Wherein the calmness of the countryside
Allows the strong scent of fir trees
And singing crickets to stay

I'm making my way
To our giant weeping willow
Winding and elegantly
It graces what is leftover
Of this special place
The finger-branches are swaying in the cool breeze
And they seem to motion to me
To come closer
To under it's canopy
As I wait for her to be seen
She starts to compose music using her dancing, swirling leaves
While the smell of her perfume is the moist night air of fall
And I can feel the goodness in her spirit surrounding me
With comfort and love
As she sighs in the wind in my ear
I feel her hand on my shoulder
And I turn
To see her gentle face
So sincere, and natural
Her smile...
It brings me the same delight as wildflowers
And when she catches me now lacking in words
I sink into her green-blue eyes that are as deep as the ocean

Only on these nights
She takes human form
For me
She loves

In this world where we could never connect with others
We are correlating
Feeling like a fish swimming for the first time
We are two ageless spirits that do not know of time
And living with senses that are heightened and intuitive
It seems like I've known her forever
Even though it's only been since may

The first time she noticed me
Was in the park
And I was devastated
While sitting on a stump
Where her cut trees that were taken
Had left the space depleted and pitiful
With my tears falling to her floor

In a dream that night she came
In images and symbols
A gentle voice that felt uncommonly safe
Someone that I felt I COULD put my trust in

At night her spirit becomes vivacious
And I understand her
There are no judgments
There can be none

Our lives had been born beautiful
But were made crooked
Both of us have been beaten down
Not appreciated
Pollution into our innocence

At the first crescent moon
I am there for her
And at her dawn
When she feels it become exceptionally beautiful
That is at the time she is waking next to me

I will age just like all of creation
As she watches all the years go by
And when I become old
And my phase of death has passed
And I am buried
I will go back to the earth
And go back to her
The earth goddess in love
