Antagonism's Comfort

She spits
When she laughs
'Cause she's such a sneerer.
But it's when she's a bitch
That she feels all the nearer.
But near - isn't good;
The deadpan art's not for me
And when I freeze
I tease
And
Not as well as she.
So please let me keep my distance
And careless nihilism
And I'll let out a relieved breath
For the comfortability
Of antagonism.

Loving Paranoia

I don’t know.
It just comes and goes.
Unpredictably. Uninvited.
It’s not really anything much like rain.
I understand rain. I have the same impulses. Only I
Am more of a hider.
But it…
It confuses me.
No!
It terrifies me. It haunts me, snags at my heels and retreats.
I think it wants me.
I don’t know why.
Is it mine?
Should it be?
I wish I could jump over it.
But it’s
Un
Fucking
Avoidable.
There it is.
Always.
Again and over.

Spitefully Not Under the Bed

You ate my pain away.
Who asked you to?!
You are a monster, that you are,
A thing a girl would dream up
So she could say
Not all monsters are bad
This one eats your wounds away.
Who asked you to?
I snarl in your general direction.
You spit my blood into the sink
And leer at the mirror, red-lipped and white teethed
And I’m left with my entirety and the comfort
To call you a monster.
You monster.
You fucking monster.
I was pleased in my righteous misery
Smiling self-pityingly through my tears
And you came and tore my heart together,
Broke me impeccably whole.
If I see you, I will fix you
Like you did me
And from then on you will run in circles
Around and around your own tale
And we will not spill anything together
Anymore, ever.
