Promises Shattered.
Dreams that had been awaked.
I walk alone.
Darkness surrounds me.
I search for light.
She appears.
Glowing like a beacon in the night.
It teases the darkness.
She is there in the distance with her light guiding the way.
Too alone to turn back.
Fearful of going.
I take the first step and they come easily after that.
I reach the end.
The light takes me in and surrounds us both.
Our souls dance in the heavens above.
We are now as one.
I learned along the path I have changed.
She has remained ageless.
