New Love

“Please don’t go.” Andie laughed, teasing,

“Sorry, I didn’t quite catch that.” When she turned around to face her new found lover, the younger of the two, her smile wavered. Caroline lay naked, modestly and shyly covered, though she had nothing to hide. Her body’s state was perfection, and everything about her was beautiful, from her head to her toes, even her quirky inherited qualities that mostly were inconvenient to the wearer and often embarrassed her.

What stunned Andie speechless was that Caroline had such a way about her that she left her emotions out on her sleeve, for anyone to read or to take. Unlike Andie, she lacked tactfulness and had trouble finding humor in serious things. One of these serious things was losing her virginity, obviously. Ignoring her need to use the bathroom, Andie gave an apologetic smile before diving back into the bed. She whispered on her love’s temple,

“How could I ever disappoint you like that?” As she took long, luxurious kisses down Caroline’s profile, the other shivered. They should be exhausted, as they had taken all night long to explore every inch of one another, and yet they couldn’t stop to rest.

Caroline’s eyes shut with pleasure and fatigue, and Andie found herself lingering down to take possession of the much-loved neck and collarbone. Those sweet brown eyes fluttered open quickly, glossing over beautifully. Caroline forced the words,

“We’re going to die in this bed, aren’t we?” Andie snaked her tongue down the other’s abdomen. She breathed, more ragged now,

“Only if we stay in it. Who needs sunlight anymore, anyway? This would be the best way to go.” As Andie slipped through Caroline’s last protective layer, she gasped,

“I’m inclined to, ah, ah, a-gree.” Andie couldn’t help but smile victoriously. Without being touched, she was able to fly along with Caroline, just by watching her and the power that came from eliciting a quaking response from such a quiet and gentle person. Fumbling into each other’s arms again, Caroline whispered as she stroked Andie’s face and tickled her chin,

“So, what happens tomorrow?” Andie joked,

“Nothing you won’t thank me for later.” Caroline rolled her eyes, but tugged impatiently on Andie’s lip with her teeth. Andie answered seriously,

“You’ll stay with me, for as long as you’d like. I won’t let you go. I promise.” It was what Caroline needed to hear. It was what Andie needed too. Without the use for anything else but contact, Andie sat behind Caroline and held her tightly, cradling the other in her lap. Playing with Caroline’s hair and massaging her scalp, Andie was soothed by the other’s even breathing as the younger fell into a soft slumber.
